Here are some recipes for delicious healthy biscuits you can enjoy guilt-free.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Double chocolate cookies<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 cup of smooth peanut butter<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">2\/3 cup of coconut sugar<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd tsp of vanilla extract<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">2 Tbsp of cocoa powder (unsweetened)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Pinch of salt<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 tsp of baking soda<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 egg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd cup of dark chocolate chips and extra for the topping<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Instructions:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Beat the peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla together in a medium bowl. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Beat the two mixtures together. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Beat in the egg and then stir in the chocolate chips. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Form dough balls and press 3 of 4 chocolate chips into the top if you wish. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Press the cookies down so that they aren&#8217;t too puffed up. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Bake for 6 to 8 minutes and watch carefully. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The coconut sugar adds amazing flavour but your cookies can burn easily so it&#8217;s important to stay beside your oven while they bake. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Remove and allow to cool to room temperature before you serve. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If you serve these healthy biscuits while hot, they will be really crumbly. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\"><a name=\"zlrecipe-ingredients\"><\/a>Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 cup of oats<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00be cup of spooned and levelled whole wheat flour<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1.5 tsp of baking powder<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1.5 tsp of cinnamon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd tsp of salt<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">2 Tbsp of butter (melted and cooled)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 tsp of vanilla<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 egg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd cup of honey<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd \u2013 \u00be cup of dark chocolate chips (divided)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Instructions:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Line a baking tray with baking paper. In a bowl mix the oats, baking powder, flour, salt and cinnamon.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Melt the butter in another bowl and let it cool slightly before adding the vanilla, egg and then honey. Add and mix each ingredient one at a time. Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and use a wooden spoon to combine the two. Don&#8217;t over mix!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Save half of the chocolate chips and chop the other half with a knife. Add the chopped chocolate to the mixture.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Store in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Shape the dough into about 15 biscuits with your hands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Place the cookies on the baking sheet. Each cookie should be 2 inches from the next.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Bake for 12 \u2013 13 minutes or until you can see the edges starting to turn golden. Remove from the oven and immediately press the chocolate chips on top of all the warm cookies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Allow to cool in the pan before removing to a cooling rack.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Savour your healthy biscuits with lots of milk!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd cup of canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">2 Tbsp of honey<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 egg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd tsp of vanilla extract<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">2 Tbsp of brown sugar<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd tsp of cinnamon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd tsp of pumpkin pie spice<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 tsp of baking soda<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Pinch of salt<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">1 cup of oat flour (oats that are blended)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bd cup of dark chocolate chips<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">\u00bc cup of chocolate chunks (optional)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\">Instructions:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Whisk pumpkin, honey, vanilla extract and egg in a bowl.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Add the sugar. In another bowl, mix together the cinnamon, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, oatmeal, and salt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">If you don&#8217;t have oat flour, simply blend regular oats in the blender until it&#8217;s the same consistency as flour. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Be careful not to over mix. Add the chocolate chips and mix.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Cool for 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. Place the dough on the lined baking tray.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">If desired, press chocolate pieces into cookies. Cook for 6-8 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">These healthy biscuits should be soft and chewy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">These are just three recipes for delicious healthy biscuits. There are many more out there! In fact, think about your favourite recipe and look for a healthier alternative.
