However, you might not know that you can make a delicious whisky caramel sauce. You will need just a few basic ingredients and the recipe is super easy to follow too.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup of sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup of whisky<\/li>\n<li>3 Tablespoons of butter<\/li>\n<li>A pinch of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Instructions:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the sugar with the butter and do not mix it until it starts to melt.<\/li>\n<li>Once it starts to melt, you can stir now and then with a fork.<\/li>\n<li>Cook the sugar until the caramel until it reaches a deep amber colour. Do not let it get too dark or it will have a burned flavour.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the caramel from heat and add the whisky along with a pinch of salt.<\/li>\n<li>The caramel will produce steam and start to get harder.<\/li>\n<li>Place back on the stove over low heat and stir while the caramel dissolves.<\/li>\n<li>Allow the whisky caramel sauce to cool slightly before serving over your favourite dessert. It is particularly delicious with ice cream.<\/li>\n<li>If you need to make this sauce in advance, you can place plastic wrap over the cooled pot\/pan and refrigerate. When ready to serve, heat slowly and just enough to make the sauce easier to pour since chilling it will make it more solid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you can see, this is a really easy whisky caramel sauce recipe and it will come in handy whenever you want to spruce up your favourite dessert or impress your guests with the most amazing after meal sweet treat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You may already know that whisky can be used in various recipes.
