If you love the flavour and freshness of lemons, you will really enjoy this scrumptious lemon bar recipe. Easy to make with just a few basic ingredients, it is sure to make your family and friends beg for more.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Ingredients for the crust:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 cup unsalted butter (melted)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Ingredients for the lemon filling:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>2 \u00bd cups sugar<\/li>\n<li>85g all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>7 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 cup lemon juice (fresh)<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp lemon zest (finely grated)<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup powdered sugar for dusting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Directions:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Start by pre-heating your oven to 325F.<\/li>\n<li>Grease a 9X13 inch baking pan and line with parchment paper. Allow some extra to hang over the edges.<\/li>\n<li>To make the lemon bar crust, you need to combine the flour with the sugar and salt.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the melted butter and vanilla until you form a smooth dough.<\/li>\n<li>Press the mixture into your baking pan and bake for about 20 minutes or until set.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the partially baked crust from the oven and set on a rack.<\/li>\n<li>For the lemon mixture, combine the flour, lemon zest and sugar using a whisk. Add the eggs and whisk until well blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add the lemon juice and whisk until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the filling mixture over the warm crust.<\/li>\n<li>Return the pan to the oven and bake until the filling has set. This normally takes about 25 \u2013 30 minutes. If you notice the mixture still jiggles, allow it to bake for a few more minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the oven and set on a rack to cool completely before slicing.<\/li>\n<li>Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Just make sure they are cool when you do!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you can see, this lemon bar recipe is extremely easy even if you are new to baking. There is not much involved in terms of ingredients or technique.
