When searching for cheese and wine gifts, you will come across at least one or two that include a bottle of Port paired with delicious Stilton cheese<\/a>. This is not by accident. These two make the perfect pair and they are excellent for enjoying at home with your partner or when entertaining guests. Here are some essential serving tips.<\/p>\n

Temperature<\/h2>\n

The first thing you need to remember when serving Port and Stilton is the temperature of the cheese. It should not be too cold or it will not offer its full flavour. Allow the cheese to set at room temperature for at least half an hour before your guests arrive. When it is too cold, the flavours are masked and you won’t get as much out of the cheese and wine tasting experience.<\/p>\n

Wine choice<\/h2>\n

Different types of wine pair well with different kinds of cheese. Port and Stilton are a well-known delicious match. Make sure that you let your guests know to try the two together.
