Fruit salad is the perfect addition after a summer BBQ or any meal for that matter. Here&#8217;s an easy recipe for making the perfect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestigehampers.co.uk\/fruit-hampers?top_nav\">summer fruit<\/a> salad.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2153 cup fresh lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>\u2154 cup fresh orange juice<\/li>\n<li>\u2153 cup packed brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon grated lemon zest<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon grated orange zest<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced<\/li>\n<li>2 cups cubed fresh pineapple<\/li>\n<li>3 bananas, sliced<\/li>\n<li>3 kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced<\/li>\n<li>2 oranges, peeled and sectioned<\/li>\n<li>2 cups blueberries<\/li>\n<li>1 cup seedless grapes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Directions:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In a pot, bring the lemon juice, orange juice, sugar, orange zest and lemon zest to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the heat once boiling and allow to simmer until it starts to thicken. This takes about 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.<\/li>\n<li>Set aside to cool.<\/li>\n<li>Layer your fruit in a large, clear glass bowl. Follow this order: pineapples, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, oranges, grapes and finally blueberries.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the cooled sauce over the fruit.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and refrigerate for 3 \u2013 4 hours before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This summer fruit salad can be enjoyed as is or you can top yours with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if you want something a little colder and sweeter.
