While it might seem as simple as slicing up a few of your favourites, there are a few important rules to remember if you want to maintain the quality of every last morsel.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Temperature<\/h2>\n<p>For cheese to have the right flavour, it must be served at the right temperature. Before refrigeration, it is cured at cool but not cold temperatures. So, instead of serving your platter cold, you should allow it to rest at room temperature for approximately one hour before setting it out before your guests.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Quantity<\/h2>\n<p>You may have heard that quality is more important than quantity. This is very true when it comes to your cheese boards. Instead of trying to set out enough to last for the night, you should serve a portion and save the rest for topping up. This also applies to the number of varieties you choose. Instead of selecting ten types, you should serve no more than five.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Pre-cutting<\/h2>\n<p>Avoid cutting any cheese before serving. It will cause drying out and it will also look far less appealing. You should allow your guests to slice and cut as much or as little as they like.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Maintaining the shape<\/h2>\n<p>When slicing and cutting your cheeses, make sure that you do everything in your power to maintain their shape. This will make it easier for everyone to slice. This is especially important if you plan on enjoying these slices on crackers or bread.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Different knives<\/h2>\n<p>Each type of cheese should have a different knife. You don&#8217;t want them to be be mixed up because this can affect the flavours. Especially if you slice some mozzarella with the knife you used on some Gorgonzola.<\/p>\n<p>By keeping these cheese serving rules in mind, you can be sure that your guests will <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.prestigehampers.co.uk\/2020\/07\/23\/choosing-a-just-because-gift\/\">enjoy every bite<\/a>!
