However, there are several different kinds of whisky and each type of whisky is best to be paired with different types of sweets. Here are some suggestions to keep in mind when choosing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestigehampers.co.uk\/whisky-hampers\">whisky gift<\/a> or even a bottle for yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smoky whisky<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For whisky with a smoky flavour, you\nshould opt for dark chocolate, chocolate-covered espresso beans or\npecan maple pie. Dark chocolate has a bitter flavour which brings out\nthe sweet flavours in the whisky. Combining chocolate and coffee\nbeans also adds a combination of smooth and gritty textures. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fruity whisky<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you enjoy a fruity whisky, you can\npair a glass with some carefully selected fruit or cheese or even\nboth. Fresh sliced pears are the top choice and they have an\nexcellent impact on the way your taste buds perceive the flavours of\nthe whisky. As for cheese, you should serve at least three types of\ncheese with your fruity whisky. One cheese should be made from cow&#8217;s\nmilk, another from goat&#8217;s milk and one from sheep&#8217;s milk. It&#8217;s also\nimportant to take note of textures. Hard cheese, soft cheese and\nsomething in between is always a great balance. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Salty snacks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When serving fruit and cheese with your\nwhisky, you should also serve some type of bread or crackers. Many\npeople don&#8217;t enjoy tucking into cheese without a crisp cracker. The\nbread or bread-like product will also help absorb the alcohol and\nsatisfy that hunger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the best foods to pair with\ndifferent types of whisky. Of course, if you are enjoying whisky\nafter a delicious meal, you might not feel like eating anything more.\nIn this case, slowly sipping on your favourite whisky is the perfect\nway to finish off your meal. Irish whisky can be added to your cup of\ncoffee and you can top it with some whipped cream if you like.
