They make excellent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestigehampers.co.uk\/sweet-hampers\">sweet gifts<\/a> too. The best part of all is that you can make your very own with just a few basic ingredients. Here is an easy recipe that you and your family will love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lollipop moulds\n\t<\/li><li>Lollipop sticks\n\t<\/li><li>Nonstick cooking spray\n\t<\/li><li>1 cup sugar\n\t<\/li><li>\u00bd cup light corn syrup\n\t<\/li><li>\u00bc cup water\n\t<\/li><li>1 \u00bd tsp extract (vanilla,\n\tcoconut, mint, cinnamon, etc)\n\t<\/li><li>Food colouring (optional)\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Spray the moulds lightly with\n\tnonstick cooking spray.\n\t<\/li><li>Wipe out the inside of the moulds\n\twith a paper towel so that only a thin layer or cooking spray\n\tremains.\n\t<\/li><li>Insert the lollipop sticks into\n\tyour moulds.\n\t<\/li><li>In a medium saucepan, combine the\n\tsugar, water and corn syrup. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Cook the mixture over a\n\tmedium-high heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.\n\t<\/li><li>Use a wet pastry brush to brush\n\tdown the sides of the pan.\n\t<\/li><li>Once the mixture starts boiling,\n\tinsert a candy thermometer.\n\t<\/li><li>Do not stir and simply allow the\n\tmixture to boil until the temperature on your candy thermometer\n\treaches 149 degrees C.\n\t<\/li><li>Remove the saucepan form heat and\n\tallow it to sit until the mixture stops bubbling.\n\t<\/li><li>Stir in the extract of your\n\tchoice.\n\t<\/li><li>If desired, add food colouring.\n\tThis will help you tell different flavours apart. For example, you\n\tcan use green for mint lollipops.\n\t<\/li><li>Spoon the mixture into the moulds\n\tand make sure that the stick is covered.\n\t<\/li><li>Allow to cool completely before\n\tyou remove your lollipops from the moulds.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can make several pots in various\ncolours and you can even make multi-coloured lollipops if you like.\nThere are plenty of fantastic combinations and you can use this\nmethod to make festive candies or lollies for special occasions. \n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lollipops are a popular treat for young and old.
