Of course, there is still an underlying\ncraving for comfort foods similar to that feeling we get in winter.\nWhether you are looking for a delicious between meal snack or an\nimpressive appetizer to serve your guests, these recipes will have\neveryone&#8217;s tongues wagging!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fresh veggies with dip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The key to enjoying fresh vegetables is\nto serve the most delicious dip. It&#8217;s this dip that makes all the\ndifference and turns even the most bland of ingredients into a taste\nsensation. To make a yummy green dip, follow this recipe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00bd cup sour cream\n\t<\/li><li>1\/3 cup mayonnaise\n\t<\/li><li>1 anchovy fillet, rinsed and\n\tpatted dry\n\t<\/li><li>\u00bc cup fresh basil leaves\n\t<\/li><li>\u00be cup flat leaf parsley\n\t<\/li><li>2 scallions (white and pale green\n\tparts separated from the dark green tops)\n\t<\/li><li>2 Tbsp fresh chopped tarragon\n\t<\/li><li>Course salt and ground pepper\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Combine  sour cream, mayonnaise,\n\tparsley, basil, anchovy, white and light green parts of the\n\tscallions, \u00bd teaspoon of salt and a pinch of pepper in your food\n\tprocessor.\n\t<\/li><li>Puree until smooth and transfer to\n\ta bowl.\n\t<\/li><li>Chop the dark green scallion tops\n\tand stir into the dressing. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Add tarragon and season with salt\n\tand pepper.\n\t<\/li><li>Serve with your favourite fresh\n\tveggies and crackers.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Baby Potatoes and Aioli<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2 \u00bd pounds baby potatoes\n\t<\/li><li>2 tsp coarse salt (divided)\n\t<\/li><li>1 tsp Dijon mustard\n\t<\/li><li>1 garlic clove (grated)\n\t<\/li><li>1 egg yolk\n\t<\/li><li>1 cup grapeseed oil\n\t<\/li><li>2 Tbsp lemon juice\n\t<\/li><li>2 Preserved lemons\n\t<\/li><li>4 tsp poppy seeds (for garnish)\n\t<\/li><li>\u00bc cup chopped chives (for\n\tgarnish)\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method: \n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Boil potatoes with 1 teaspoon of\n\tsalt.\n\t<\/li><li>Once cooked, allow them to sit in\n\tthe water for 10 minutes before you drain.\n\t<\/li><li>Whisk together the garlic,\n\tmustard, 1 teaspoon of salt and the egg yolk.\n\t<\/li><li>Whisk the oil into the mixture\n\tuntil it is thickened.\n\t<\/li><li>Whisk in the lemon juice.\n\t<\/li><li>Rinse the preserved lemon in cold\n\twater and remove any lemon flesh. Cut the rind into small pieces.\n\t<\/li><li>Cut the warm (not hot) potatoes in\n\thalf and smear some aioli on each half.\n\t<\/li><li>Arrange them on a platter.\n\t<\/li><li>Sprinkle the poppy seeds and\n\tchives over the top to garnish.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">White-Bean Hummus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 can white beans (like\n\tcannellini) and 2 Tbsp of liquid reserved\n\t<\/li><li>\u00bc cup tahini (sesame seed paste)\n\t<\/li><li>1\/3 cup fresh lemon juice\n\t<\/li><li>2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil\n\t<\/li><li>1 garlic clove\n\t<\/li><li>Course salt\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Puree the beans with the tahini,\n\tlemon juice, oil and garlic in your food processor.\n\t<\/li><li>Once smooth, you can add some of\n\tthe liquid from the beans to the hummus until you reach the desired\n\tconsistency.\n\t<\/li><li>Season with salt to taste. \n\t\n<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the spring season, we tend to opt for lighter meals.
