Whether you are celebrating Christmas, New Year&#8217;s, or somebody&#8217;s birthday, these cake tarts will have your guests licking their lips!<br \/>\n<b>You will need:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cake mix of your choice<\/li>\n<li>Frosting of your choice<\/li>\n<li>Food colouring (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Polystyrene block<\/li>\n<li>Cake pop sticks<\/li>\n<li>Cooking chocolate<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkles of your choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Method:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare your cake mixture as per your package instructions or your favourite recipe.<\/li>\n<li>Once the cake is baked, let it cool so that you can handle it without burning your hands.<\/li>\n<li>When cool enough, crumble your cake into a bowl. Avoid using the crust of the cake because it doesn&#8217;t crumble as well and it can cause the cake pop balls to break.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare your frosting and mix it with your cake. Add frosting until your cake can be molded and shaped into round balls.<\/li>\n<li>Set out a sheet of tin foil on a tray that will fit inside your fridge.<\/li>\n<li>Take small amounts of the cake and frosting mixture, roll into firm balls and place on the foil.<\/li>\n<li>Place in the fridge until they cool and become slightly hard. This takes about 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Melt your chocolate over a double boiler. If you want to colour your chocolate, use white chocolate and add food colouring.<\/li>\n<li>Get your sticks, sprinkles and polystyrene block ready and prepare to decorate!<\/li>\n<li>Dip the one end of your cake pop stick in the chocolate and stick it into the cake ball. Only slide the stick in about a quart way through. Don&#8217;t stick it too far in because the cake will slide further down as the chocolate sets on the cake ball.<\/li>\n<li>Now dip your cake ball in the chocolate and gently swirl it around to coat the surface evenly. Use a spoon to drizzle chocolate over any portions that didn&#8217;t get coated. Let it drip to get that exess chocolate off.<\/li>\n<li>If you want to add some sparkle, you can add sprinkles at this stage.<\/li>\n<li>Stick the cake pop in the polystyrene block and keep it in the fridge to help them set faster.<\/li>\n<li>When your guests are about to arrive, you can remove your cake pops from the fridge and wow everyone with your skills!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remember, you can make an even more impressive display by adding decorated cupcakes, biscuits, and other sweet treats to your table.
