Interesting uses for alcohol

Alcohol is not only for drinking. It can also be used in cooking and there are various interesting ways of using alcohol in ways you may never have thought of before. Here are some uses for alcohol around your home.
If you have smelly feet, you’ll be happy to know that the solution is resting inside your drinks cabinet! There are a few ways of applying alcohol to your feet. You can use some cotton wool or a spray bottle depending on your preferences. Make sure that you use something with a high alcohol content to kill those stinky germs.
If your car battery is dead, you can use red wine to bring it back to life. You will need to wear rubber gloves and pour some red wine in each of the battery cells. Once your car has started, it’s important to get where you’re going but make sure that you replace that battery urgently since this is only a temporary fix.
When you are baking and you find that you have run out of vanilla extract, you can substitute with some cream liqueur like Bailey’s. Just like vanilla extract, there is no need to add a large amount. You are simply enhancing the flavour.
If you have a snail or slug problem in your garden, you can use the lid of a jar and place it in the soil so that the rim is the same height as the soil level. Fill the lid with some beer. It will attract slugs and snails. They will drink too much until they eventually drown.
When you accidentally apply too much perfume, you can dab some vodka on the areas where you have applied too much. This will help neutralize that strong scent. If clothes take on that musty smell, use vodka to give it a fresh, clean scent.
Baked chicken often smells and tastes great but it might not look all that delicious. 15 minutes before you are done cooking the chicken, baste it with some white vermouth. You will love the results!
