Rose ice cream recipe

Roses are not only beautiful flowers. Their sweet scent can be used to enhance many recipes and make them even more delicious. If you would like to try a tasty rose inspired dessert, here’s how to make your very own rose ice cream.
Ingredients:

  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 2 Tbsp warm milk
  • 1 ½ quarts ice cream (softened)
  • 1 ½ Tbsp rose syrup
  • ½ tsp ground cardamom
  • ¼ pistachio nuts (chopped)

Directions:

  • Set your ice cream out to soften at room temperature.
  • Mix the warm milk and saffron and set aside for about 15 minutes.
  • Combine the ice cream with the saffron and milk in a large bowl.
  • Add the rose syrup, pistachios, and cardamom.
  • Stir until the mixture is pink and smooth.
  • Scoop the ice cream into the original container. It might not all fit in since you have added some extra ingredients. Any extra can be scooped into another container.
  • Freeze for 2 hours or until ready to enjoy.

This rose ice cream is delicious all on its own but you can use it as a topping on waffles or in various desserts if you like. You can also use this recipe to surprise mum for Mother’s Day or a loved one on their birthday. Make sure that you have some red or pink roses set on the table when serving this unique ice cream!
